C420 PAPR NATIONAL GUARD KIT |
|
TIght Fitting Facepieces also known as negative pressure Air Purifying Respirators (APR's) or Gas Masks can be uncomfortable and do not provide the level of comfort and user acceptance of a PAPR when responders are performing the strenuous tasks required in response to a CBRN incident.
Originally developed and deployed to the National Guard WMD Response Teams, the "National Guard Kit" was designed to provide respiratory protection in the event of a critical incident. The added protection of positive airflow was deemed necessary for completing the tasks required such as search, rescue, recovery and decontamination. |
