TVI specializes in educational courses on medical decontamination of contaminated patients. Some of our available classes are…

• Our most popular course is the two day “Basic Management of Contaminated Casualties” course. This course has been approved and adopted into the USAF at every medical treatment facility world-wide
  1. Day one is didactic learning about basic response concepts, contaminants, effects of victims, triage of contaminated victims, available decontaminants, available antidotes, and hands-on proper wear/care of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  2. Day two is all hands-on training with TVI decontamination equipment. Equipment can range from large scale mass casualty facilities, down to individual decon units
  3. HQ USAF review certifies this course meets the requirements of HAZWOPER Operations Level training, and awards 16 CEUs to NREMTs

Other Courses:

• Nuclear/radiological contamination: what is it, how to decontaminate it, and how to contain it
• Biological agent contamination: what types are out there, how to decontaminate, and how to control the spread
• Chemical warfare agents, what types are out there, effects on victims, available antidotes, how to decontaminate, and how to control run off
